Upon arrival in your village you will be welcomed by the Yaqona Ceremony, group ties with drinking traditional Fijian drinks. You can learn scuba diving in the best soft coral in the world, although if you prefer to do a little snorkeling, it will still be an amazing experience. Try an excursion to Bouma National Park, this is a fantastic tropical rainforest with a 1000 foot volcanic peak and the most popular attraction, Tavora waterfall, three beautiful waterfalls. Fiji has many islands very close together, so they can tour around very easily by Kayak. There are many tour companies that offer experiences that suit the whole family, from museums with interesting artifacts, to temples, to adventure sports.

You can also snorkel and see colorful coral and exotic fish life, or just lay on the beautiful white sand and bask in the tropical sun. Whichever beach you choose will be ideal for relaxing.

Eat

Hotels do cater to international tourists, but if you want to experience authentic Fijian cuisine, you need to go out of your hotel to a local village restaurant, where you will find a variety of local dishes such as Fijian Lovo. This is a feast consisting of meat, fish, vegetables and fruit that has been cooked in a closed hole, you have to try this, it’s delicious and very filling. Other local dishes consist of local fish and coconut, you will find food that suits your budget, but there are no fast food outlets. There are several supermarkets if you cook yourself on the island.
